ワールドカップ2014 準決勝を振返る WC2014 Looking back Semi-finals

準決勝の結果、ドイツとアルゼンチンが、ワールドカップを争うことになった。

南米同士の対決、あるいはヨーロッパ同士の対決になる可能性があったが、結局は南米とヨーロッパの戦いとなった。

ブラジルとドイツの試合は、文字通り、サプライズだった。

ブラジルは、サッカー王国として、また開催国として、優勝が期待されていたが、ベスト4止まりとなり、決勝戦へは駒を進めることはできなかった。

優勝を期待していた人々にとっては、残念な結果に終わったが、準決勝まで勝ち残ったことは、大会全体を盛り上げたし、もっと早い時点で敗退する可能性も大きかっただけに、まずまずの結果だったのではないか。

しかし、その負け方が悪すぎた。ブラジルの将来にとって、影響の残る負け方になってしまったのは、残念だ。

ドイツは、この大会では、調子はアップダウン。初戦のポルトガルで大勝した後は、今一つの内容の試合が続いていた。

このブラジル戦だけを見ると、とんでもないチームのように見えるが、ガーナやアルジェリア、フランスとの試合を見れば、同じチームとは思えないほどの差がある。

アルゼンチンとオランダの試合は、延長戦まで戦い、ゴールこそ入らなかったが、見ごたえのある試合だった。

最後はPK戦でアルゼンチンが勝利を収めたが、どちらが勝ってもおかしくない試合だった。

アルゼンチンは、メッシがそれほど機能せず、オランダもロッペンが封じられ、そうなれば、こうした試合になるのは当然と言える。

これまで、冴えを見せていたオランダのファンハール監督の選手交代も、そうした状況を変えることはできなかった。

どちらかといえば、オランダの方に勝利のチャンスがあった。マスケラーノ、デミチェリスを中心としたアルゼンチンのディフェンス陣は、今大会の最高の出来だった。

オランダのフラールを中心としたディフェンスも良かったが、アルゼンチンの攻撃は、ディ・マリアを欠いているせいもあってか、精細なく、オランダでなくても、0点に抑えられたかもしれない。

攻撃力が爆発したドイツと、守備が安定してきたアルゼンチンの決勝戦は、果たして、どんな試合になるだろう。

その前に、ブラジルとオランダの3位決定戦では、ブラジルがどこまで立て直してくるかに、注目したい。
